LPF-01 Pixel

The LPF-01 Pixel was Icarian Heavy Industries attempt to dominate what it saw as an emerging market: “prosumers” who were looking for a labor frame with style, comfort, and ease-of-use as major selling factors, and weren’t at all concerned with taking it into combat.

Though the concept was initially derided in many circles, it turned out this market did exist, and Pixels were soon flying off the assembly lines.

This popularity soon created a thriving secondary market of custom kits to trick out your Pixel.

Pictured above: two examples of heavily customized Pixels, or "Trixels," as they were dubbed by enthusiasts.

But alas, this popularity had its unfortunate side effects, as some Free Colonies idealists proved desperate or stupid enough to attempt to slap weapons and armor on a frame that was never intended for that purpose.

Up-armoring was a particularly thorny technical challenge, as it meant replacing the cooling vents that covered the entire front torso of a standard Pixel. What was left after was underpowered, prone to overheating, and still a death trap for the pilot.

Image
This is a terrible idea. Never do this.

The only remotely successful military role a properly modified Pixel could fill was that of a fast, unarmored scout.

The upgraded linkages and power train of this Pixel should hopefully allow a skilled pilot to gather intel and run away before taking serious fire.

/end fluff

Yeah, so basically this frame started as a tablescrap foot that sat around for months and months before I decided to build a frame to go with it. Not much else to say about it.

I could see those trixels on a rooftop racing circuit.

I love those feet, very clever.
My favorite is that olive green crocodile-looking one. It has a Chima feel to it, and y'all know I'm a big Chima dood. :)

Gorgeous as always, mark, I like how you mentioned the chest vents in the fluff and the green scout is my favorite!

Great as always :). Really liking the torso, leg and feet combination. Very nice use of parts and angles. And always appreciate the backstory
