Hello, small niche community of the internet! I'm Olothontor, although many of the Brikwars forums now call me (affectionately, I hope) Olly. Feel free to do the same, I don't mind at all. It's certainly easier on the fingers; I've seen a lot of very odd misspellings of that handle. Also, if that doesn't work for you, my real name is Keith.
Anyway, as you may have already surmised, Brikwars was my introduction to LEGO wargaming some- oh, goodness. Almost six or seven years, now, I think. From there, a friend brought me the rulebook to this crazy thing called Mechaton that he really wanted to try out. So we scraped together some derpy little mechs and went to town. Ever since then I've been keeping an eye on Mechaton. We had a lot of fun.
I recently heard about this and I was almost immediately a proud sponsor- so proud, in fact, that not only did I back the project on Kickstarter, but I also have ~$120 worth of LEGO Pick-A-Brick being shipped to my place. Probably shouldn't have done that, but oh well.
My other hobbies... oh, dear. I probably shouldn't start listing those, I'd be sitting here typing for the next day or so. Mostly roleplaying games, wargaming, a dab of electronic gaming (I'm derping my way through Deus Ex: Human Revolution at the moment), spriting and pixel art, writing, reading- okay, stopping there. That's enough, right? I hope so.
I can't wait for these rules to come out. I'm planning a small campaign over on the Brikwars forums to celebrate their release and have some fun with the possibilities inherent in the system. I think it's going to be a lot of fun; I'll be sure to send you guys links once it's up and running.
EDIT: Oh, I live in the US of A, by the bye. Northern Virginia, to be more exact. I'm within easy reach of D.C, so if anybody wants to meet up somewhere public and have a game of Mobile Frame Zero, I'd be more than happy to oblige.
