Quasar Mech Works presents the M5 Igor

This is the base model with no systems. I have one built and will get some pics of it tomorrow.

I like the blue and grey, and the overall profile of the thing.

The 'Frame has a really strong voice, and his burly torso adds to the impression. Should be a fine 'Frame in the brick, I'd say. Do it! :)

This totally reminds me of the Maskari from mechwarrior and thus is awesome.

So purty. Me rikey. I might just build one or two, they are both adorable and bulky. Good jerb, my good sir!

These look solid and powerful, great job!

If you add another 2-clip-t-bar joint in the ankles, they'll be able to stand flat-footed with that wide, aggressive stance.

I really like this design; compact and tough looking. Could use some more dakka... maybe less shoulder pads more dakka? =) Put some guns in those hands?

Just found this thread and would LOVE to build an M5 Igor. I have limited piece selection, thus many of the impressive Frames are beyond my means. The M5 Igor is an impressive looking Frame that doesn't require a dozen T's, Travis's, and other arcane pieces which didn't exist when my 20+ year old LEGO collection was gathered. While Brinklink is in my future, I haven't placed an order yet. I am almost positive I can make this Frame - the LDR file would allow me to be certain though!

I'd look again. It has at least four Travis bricks, two taps, and some other fun stuff.

There are 6 Travis bricks in this build.

4 of them can be replaced with 1x1 with headlight tho.

The 2 on the arms that mount to the taps and the 2 in the legs that connect to the foot. I used Travis bricks to allow me to bulk up the legs and arms with 1x1 tiles and cheese wedges, but they are purely decretive.

The 2 in the thigh can also be replaced with 1x1 with headlight as well, but you lose articulation in the legs. So in theory you can build the Igor with NO Travis bricks, but it looks a bit weedy.

Here is a parts list and I will attach the ldr to the OP

Wow! That was fast! I have a few headlamps and a SMALL number of Travis bricks. The taps... perhaps I can substitute those "raygun" like things that look like a tap with a big cup on the end? Either way, thank you for the parts list and the digital file. I have something to start from at least. Perhaps I'll be able to make a near-copy using the bricks I have. 8-)

Quasar Mech Works: M6 Igor

I put this one together last night. I played around with the legs a bit... they are a modification of MittenNinja's legs on the Spitting Dragon. The arms are not as beefy, but im running low on parts. I'm not sure i like this version as much as the first, but untill i put together my BrickLink order it will have to do
