Tarantula Tank

Postby SageThe13th » Thu Jan 23, 2014 6:18 pm

Holy cow guys! I'm actually posting something in the vehicles forum!

The first of the next generation of all terrain vehicles, the Tarantula tank.

Needless to say I'm a member of the cult of articulation. Even my tanks are articulated.

Simple and effective design. Looks small for 7p, is this for your super frame scale?

Resembles a siege tank from starcraft.

Oh right. Yeah, this for the new setting I'm working on. It's 3p.

Knock yourself out. I'd like to see it. This won't show at this scale but the "legs" end in armor plates with teeth. Think something like the scoop on a backhoe. This helps it dig in and climb stuff.

Reminiscent of a Scorpion. Super cool! It even has turret elevation!

I'm not too keen on the exposed t-piece on the front linking together the wheels and turret base - it makes the tank look a little less substantial than I'd like.

Overall though I have to give this tank high marks. Movable turret, gun with elevation, and four separate wheel pieces that can move? All great stuff.
