Just a little dude I threw together really quick this morning. I wasn't too into it at first, but the more I look at it there is some potential there. Thoughts? Comments? Criticism?

Looks good. Unfortunately you hit a personal pet peeve of mine which is using the minifig hand/leg combo.

I wasn't too big on them either for a while. But they don't bother me so much anymore.

It's the poor man's tap and travis! My latest build (photos soon) is forced to use the extremely fragile hand/leg combo. It actually gets hidden decently by armor, but things fall off constantly. Can't wait for new parts to come in..

I really like the color scheme here - we don't see much black and blue on MFZ frames.

The unfinished look (understandable given its origin) might be solved by flipping the legs around and putting flat plates on the front instead, give it a smoother armored look.
I'm not a fan of the inverted 1x1 round on its nose, but otherwise I think the upper body looks great.
