Greetings from LastDitch

Postby LastDitch » Thu Apr 12, 2012 12:17 am

Hey guys, I'm incredibly excited to have found this game, and the community seems like it's great so far.

I'm a wargamer from down in Austin, Tx. I have lots of fond memories of building tons of stuff with Lego when I was a kid, and was blown away by seeing the incredible scifi stuff by people like Nnenn and Soren in the last couple years. When I found this project, I threw in immediately. I'm a fan of pretty much anything mech related, and this kind of creativity and open endedness for a game is really inspiring.

I can't wait to get building, having picked up a few sets that seem to have useful parts already. I'll be trying to stir up a scene for this in Austin, so if any of you guys turn out to be in the area, let me know. : )

Be careful, building your collection of bricks can become a Sisyphean task!

Welcome aboard, commander. Ready your troops and prepare to move out. There's a war to be fought. *srsface*

It turns out that all of the bricks my brother and I had as kids have now gone to my nieces. There's no way I would take them away from those two!

I'm just going to have to tell them to hang onto them as they get older in case they realize years later that they need the bricks for super srs wargaming. : )

Good man! And good city. I like Austin. I'm sure you'll find some good folks to play with 'round there.
