At least according to all the background we have access to, the answer would be "no" or "not that we know of."
...and yes, I know that I'm welcome to create a modified timeline that could include something like this...
However, from an official standpoint, are there other alien races out there?
It occurred to me that since there were two intelligent species in the local sphere of systems, there could certainly be more that simply haven't been encountered yet...
