Politico-economic summary:
Odvisteurla is a productive world, but increased profit margins on other worlds have led to many large companies reloacting their operations.
In 234, anti-SU dissidents fomented the 'Salt Rebellion', a protest against increased processing and transit taxes on rare salts, the harvesting of which is the primary business of self-employed individuals on Odervistula. UMFL efforts to restore order were met with violence; the resulting conflict lasted 9 standard months.
In 244, the Odervistulan Parliament issued their “Declaration of Intent”, giving notice that they would no longer recognize the rightful governance of the Solar Union and would react to any attempt to restore legitimate government with violence.
Loyal elements have maintained control over Aruve, the primary economic center and spaceport, and have established a government-in-exile. No attempt has been made by partisan forces to seize the transit gate. Exports from Odervistula continue unabated.
