Just a quick question (SSRs & the Gd8)

Postby warhammer651 » Mon May 14, 2012 8:26 am

So, I'm drafting up a few design ideas to expand my company, especially in a melee direction, and I was just wondering:

Do the one-shot rockets count as a direct fire system for the purposes of a mech with d8Rh and no ranged weaponry otherwise? I'd like to keep the d8G bonus for no ranged attack but give it a SHTF backup in case it's caught in the open

No, they do not. It's one of the little quirks of the new edition that have lead to some interesting builds.

Ah, good. now I just have to actually build the thing.

And finish my homework. and study for finals. But LEGOs are clearly more important

That's a new rule? I've been using that configuration for years and years.

I'll check my old rulebook when I get home tonight. It may be an unwritten rule that you guys have been using.

It might be. That's one of the reasons we knew we needed a new edition.

Amen! This week cannot possibly be done with soon enough. One final, one paper, a pile of fiddly workbook work, then a trip to Berkeley to see my sis get her PhD at Cal THEN I'm free to LEGO like a mofo.

. . . Crap, I've caught myself procrastinating again.
