I assume this also means you can't spot your own frames and replace a high spot with an intentionally lower one if you'd like. Probably a non issue, since I think it says to replace the spot only if the new one is higher anyway.

Still might be worth a two word addendum ("You cannot attack or spot your own frames.") to #3, though.

100% correct - in all actuality, you cannot declare your own frames a target. That stops you from both spotting and attacking them.

I can't imagine why you'd want to spot your own frame, but you can. I guess you might want to make a sacrifice play? But it doesn't mess anything up (other than, probably, you), so it's legal.

Consider a 5-player game. Scores begin as:
Blue — 30
Red — 28
Green — 25
White — 24
Black — 18

For delpoyment, blue places 2 frames first. Then black places point offense. What, then, is the order in which the other frames place? RAW says to "alternate". In a 2- or 3-player game this is clear, but when you have 4 or 5 it isn't.

Red > Green > White ... Black > (descending by score) makes some sense because the players with higher score get first pick of field positions.
Black > White > Green > Red ... (ascending by score) also makes some sense because players with higher score retain the ability to react to what the other players are doing and set up an ambush.

Both advantages are gained by players with initiative during gameplay because they have the ability to pass. I'm not sure which is greater and should be followed here.

Is there a "correct" order?

Top to bottom, as you surmise.

Am still so confused for some reason on how to use the dice. Anyone willing to help, or open up a new forum?

Nothing, I read the rule book for about 3 hours straight wrapping my head around it until I finally got it. Thanks for replying!
