Loadout feasibility question

Postby gravitasdeficiency » Mon Apr 02, 2018 11:43 am

I'm thinking about making a stealthy scout frame with the loadout
d6Rh d6Rh - Plasma torch
d6B - ECM module
d6Y d6Y - Enhanced sensor array
d8G - Sprinting
d8Rr - SSR

Ideally this frame would be used to set up kills by a d6Ra d6Ra d8Ra (Railgun) in my company.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with frame loadouts like this. Would it work without the artillery support? Are there diminishing returns in investing in yellow systems like this? Thanks!

Double Spotting can cover the entire table. If you're objective is to Spot the opponent you're in melee with, you only need one Spotting Attachment.

You could do a Swarmer: d6Rh d6Rh d8Rh d6B d6Y d8G d8Rr instead. Or d6Rh d6Rh d6B d6B d6Y d8Rr if you're looking for a little more survivability.

It seems a little backwards. The d6Rh d6Rh has a much better hit rate than a d6Ra d6Ra d8Ra . I'd suggest bringing in your spot from the backfield artillery, and using your hand to hand specialist to deal the damage. It's a brutal combination that I've gotten a lot of mileage from and introduced to others.

Feasible? Sure, I won a few matches with loadouts like that.

Optimal? Not sure, it probably depends on your strategy.

Mantisking's suggestions are great, you may consider using d6Y d6Y d6B d6B d6W d6W d8G d8Rr d8Rr or something like that as well, it may not look like it but this thing can throw a good punch!

Thanks for the advice everyone! It makes sense that I could just use the d8G to close the distance to direct fire range and use the d6Y . Plus, heavy investment in melee just seems too good to pass up.

If you're looking for a heavy investment in melee, there's little more effective than a group of swarmers. Take at least four and watch targets simply crumble before you!
