After a good number of battles under many cricunstances, even outdoors, I feel like I have to point out that this style of playing works very well:

- I've found that this quickens the game considerably.
- Unlike what some would think, wind isn't an issue. Wind that is strong enough to mess with tokens is also strong enough to topple over frames and terrain.
- Trading a yellow dice for a yellow token so you can hold it while you wait for the spoting phase is surprisingly gratifying. Especialy if the value is high. Really feels like you acomplished something.

I'll confess that I don't quite understand folks with enough Legos to make a frame company but not enough dice to roll for that company. A 'nice frame' cost upwards of $8; enough dice to support any frame forever costs, on average about $2 (8d6 and 2d8 at most, right?). Chessex dice bricks, folks... --enough for six teams with six frame ALL spotting. Ditto for --enough for *18* double-defense frames on the table.

Yes. What's available in bulk in Western Europe and the United States/Canada and what's available in bulk elsewhere are pretty divergent, often because of shipping costs more than anything else.

I'm gonna necro this because I have a suggestion. Vitor, have you thought of adding 0 value defense tokens for Frames that choose not to have a defense?

It's not quite the same but I've made tokens from a 2 x 2 white tile stuck on a 2 x 2 plate with a colour that matches the squad, and have one placed by each frame in the game. When that frame is activated, the player flips over the token from white to colour. That way, we find it much easier to keep track of which frames have taken a turn. Then at the end of the round, we flip them all back at the same time as collecting defence dice.

Is having the die there not enough? Sure, it doesn't allow for a zero either, but those are rare/notable enough in our games that it's never been a problem.

I have a couple of blue glass beads the same size as my dice in my dice bag. I use those for 0 defenses.

0 defenses come up in the last round or two pretty commonly. Sometimes **** rolls in tense situations, sometimes because you're running on white die fumes and don't have any systems but you really need to move and spot, or move and attack, or attack and spot.
