I saw them for $10 USD each three or four weeks ago. Then they were gone. :(

Walmart and Target tend to ship all their clearance merchandise a few stores in a district. You just have to find those stores.

Ah. I thought I was going to be making a pilgramage to one of my FLLS (Favorite Local Lego Store(s) -- although, aren't they all automatically favorite because they're Lego stores?) tonight.

The LEGO store at Downtown Disney had absolutely nothing specifically useful except those smooth tires and light bley wheelwells -_-

You can forget any Lego Company store. Even Flagship stores are entirely useless. What you need are Lego franchise stores and Bricklink partners. Or, Bricklink right way.

I disagree. Or did you mean that as a response to this topic?

It may be different in other stores, but it's a hutchin' desert over here in Germanland.

It goes in cycles. You have to be a regular visitor, and keep an eye on what they're putting on the wall. But, in general, you aren't going to get much in the way of SNOTty goodness. Grab Bags, on the other hand, can be a goldmine of parts.

I agree that it goes in cycles. My local pick a brick wall right now has the 1x1 tiles with clip (if it has a nickname, I don't know it, I'm still learning the AFOL jargon). Given that they're tiny, and used extensively in frame construction, you can bet I snagged a TON of those.

I picked up a 5763 Dune Hopper last night for 10% off -- the box was damaged -- and this brought the price below retail even after tax.

You just wanted more tires to mutilate. Admit it, man! It's the first step to solving your problem.

Nope. I got it just for the four Plate, Modified 1x2 w/Arm Up. I have more than enough tires that I never use.

That's very interesting; thanks for the heads up! I always wondered why I never saw anything good in my local Targets or Wal-Marts for clearance items. NEVER see Legos in there and I check the clearance sections every time I go in them hoping to find these awesome deals people speak of.

So who do you talk to at these stores to find out where they ship their clearance items to? I somehow doubt the first person you get on the phone will know.... wondering who I should ask for to even find out?

I didn't talk to anyone, I was unemployed and had a lot of time on my hands so I visited a lot of stores that were near me. I just happened to notice there were stores in each area that had a lot of stuff. That and I used to work retail over a decade ago.

I'm supprised Sebulba's Podracer & Tatooine wasn't listed here yet. You get a pile of orange 1x1 clips vertical, 1x1 SNOTs, 1x1 slopes, 2 light saber bars, 4 1x1 clips, 3 1 x 2 x 2/3 with Studs on Sides, plus more.

Also stumbled on the old pod racer mini set and check this out...

Plus all the other pieces.

The sets start at $4.50 on Bricklink! Best bang for the buck I've seen on these very specific parts.

It was mentioned by FeralFerret back on the first page.
