How Many Forces Will You Have Ready to Go?

Obviously we'll all create a bunch over time, but how many will you have ready to put down on the table on any given evening?

I don't think I'll have factions, 2 maybe 3, but each will have like 10-20 mechs per faction and enough firepower for about 50 mechs! xD

I've got multiple teams all ready to go. None really associated with the official factions though.

14-15 depending on how I split a few of them. In theory I could field 24 teams for small-scale demo skirmishes.

This will get much worse once I do more spaceships.
I worked on the setting and mecha design, but my opinions are personal. I am not the fun police.

I'll probably have 2-3 squads of 4-5 by launch, and I'll be building more in LDraw and buying the parts via Bricklink as time goes on.

I'll have at least one for each faction (with extra attachments), one of my own creation (if I can settle on a design), and three or four squads of the C6 mechs for demoing. So about eight ish.

I will probably have 7 or 8 teams when my C6 components arrive.
Two to three teams will be old school mechaton designs.
The next three will be the official faction designs.
And the final two will be C6 designs

I have all the parts for two (one CHUB team, and another of my own SHIVA), but I'll be buying parts for an Ijad force within the next week or two.

...and I'd be kidding myself if I thought it was going to stop there.

I'm really excited about running this at some local gaming cons in the coming months!

I dont know how closely I'll be following the fluff, but my goal is to be able to get up to 4 teams of 7 on the table at a time with enough bits so folks can be creative with attachments. At this point I am about 1/3 of the way there but mostly I just need a bunch of connectors to finish off the rest.

I would also like to be able to have 2-3 themes of terrain, currently I can field a pretty good forest/rock table and can put down a rather multi hued table of ruins.

Don't worry about following the fluff! The fluff is there to enable and inspire. You can take that as an official statement.

I've found that if you pick the right 4-5 parts to order in bulk, you can make awesome terrain for way less than you'd think. 1x2 slopes, 8x8 plates, 2x4 and 1x2 bricks, and maybe some large 2x2 3-high slopes - that'll set you up. Buy in bulk. Dark tan is a good multipurpose rock color, works well in most flavors of earthlike landscape.

I did a rough count in my head today. I think I've got enough mechs for 14 individual teams.

Color me green with envy - though I suspect that I'll get there eventually!

I've got an 9 UMFL frames ready to go with a box full of swappable and interchangeable attachments. That'll probably keep me happy until I have disposable income (besides, I can use the frames for Brikwars as well).

I honestly doubt I'll use any faction other than the Ijad. I plan on using my own merc faction, and even printing my own decals (hey, taking so many art classes has to pay off somehow right?).

I'll have a squad each of variants of: Conscripts, Chubs, MgN-309's, then a mixer squad that will probably be a Takafashii, two MgN's, two Conscript variants, an artillery Goshawk and some stuff of my own design. Can't WAIT for my bricklink orders.

Just 2 forces, and probably some terrain. Gotta get other people hooked.

Officially taken.

At this point my limited budget needs to be allocated to mechs over terrain, but I will take your advice to heart (or table) when I get the chance.

Greg's been getting some great mileage out of just 2x4 bricks - if you can snag about a hundred 1x2 bricks you can get some basic cover up, and they always come in handy for more complex terrain later.

My addiction for more bricks is rapidly reaching the point where it will out weigh my fear of my wifes wrath... I will probably put in another big order after my next payday.
