Me too! We're bit by bit putting it together. My vision is to have it be a hub for new community sites, primarily. It'll also be an explanation (as it is now) and a link to buy the game.

Huzzah! \o/

Given the current state of its development, should we already start directing people to this site, instead of the Kickstarter or other links?

Something I've been wondering about regarding this forum, is should there be some effort made to make it look a bit more like an MFZ-related site? At the moment it's just the default phpBB theme, which doesn't do much for the identity of the community and the game it surrounds.

I don't think it'd hurt to at least bring the style of the forum into something which represents what it's about.

Many forums support pictures in the header. Some even support a different picture in each sub-forums header. I am not very familiar with what can be done with phpBB, but if it can do that, I would say ask Soren and other members with nice shots in the Flikr group for permission to use their pics. You most certainly have permission to use any of mine!

phpBB is very customisable. Not just the banner at the top but a LOT of stuff can be changed. The phpBB site has dozens of example themes you can just download and customise how you like.

Yeah. The MFZ home page is starting to trend strongly upward as a source of traffic for my blog.

The only thing I'd be concerned about is having the theme be disable-able on an account basis (I'm not particularly familiar with the dials and knobs of phpBB, so this might already be true), so the forum can remain worksafe.

I had to hit refresh like five times before it would show up, but now it is there.

You can select what theme to use in the User Control Panel, assuming schoon hasn't disabled being able to change the theme.

EDIT: I am also not seeing the header image. If I look at the source code, I see this image as the header still. I did notice that it flashed up briefly earlier though.

Hmmmm, I'm getting the new one about 75% of the time, and the last 25% I have to refresh a few times to get it.

I'll see if there's a solution out there in internet-land...

Check the phpBB forums, they are a good resource. Also, how are you implementing the banner change?
