Diplomacy Class capital ship

Postby The Hydromancer » Mon Nov 11, 2019 2:48 am

The Diplomacy class is a purpose built 'super carrier' (houses two mobile frame squads) designed for the Terran Expeditionary Marines of the Solar Union. This class is intended as the flag ship at the heart of an offensive task force, launching its frames deep into the heart of enemy formations from the forward mounted catapults, or directly from the side mounted hangar bays. An extensive network of comms arrays, radars, and antenna allows for the Diplomacy Class to carefully monitor the battle-space and coordinate allied actions for maximum effectiveness.

The Diplomacy class is designed to inspire cooler heads to prevail when it transits in-system, and more than one unruly colony has laid down its arms at the sight of 16 of the most advanced mobile frames, with the Solar Union's most veteran pilots in the cockpits, dropping down the gravity well to politely but firmly inquire why the colony is behind on its tithes.

One day I'll get some Intercept Orbit games in, and figure out if this loadout is even viable or not, but I suspect that it should be as one as it has at least 1 dedicated d6B d6B picket ship/frame company.

Wow Hydro, just simply WoW

You have a really good design here. The shaping is outstanding, and the angles of the engines really shout out: "LOOK AT ME! HERE I AM! RESPECT ME!!"
Oh we will, trust us. lol

Now that's what you call "diplomacy at the point of a sword".
If playing Dungeons & Dragons has taught me one thing, it's that you should probably not trust someone who introduces themselves with the phrase "GREETINGS FELLOW MORTALS IT IS I."

The black boxes with white designs is in fact the hangars, good eye. I know they kinda stick out, but I was determined to use those bricks as hangars someday!

As a bonus, here's a peek at the rail design on the spine. Should make for easy modular options, but I'm finding it hard to tie myself to one project right now.
