The Rocinante

Its crazy how you can have builder's block (HEH!) so hard one moment, and the next see something that so thoroughly inspires you that you have a breakthrough. Based on Norsehound's alternative take on the Rocinante from The Expanse, I present my take on the iconic ship.

Took a shot at proper MCRN coloring, with some vectoring play. I mean if you have all those thrusters, might as well show them off right? Just hope I got the angling down right....

Assuming I remember the rules correctly, figure this bad girl for a capital ship at 16 studs long, with quad missile launchers d6Rd d6Rd d8Rd and eight maneuvering thrusters for evasive actions d6B d6B . The Rocinante is a pure offensive warship, tasked with spearheading an assault on the weakest part of the enemy's wall of battle once its been identified and highlighted by scouting frigates/mobile frame squads. It relies on escorts to protect it from counter fire and enemy mobiles frame while it batters its target to so much space dust with a steady barrage of anti-ship missiles.

Really beautiful!

Nice use of the macaroni brick and the round 2x2s, they make a nice curved underside!

Thanks, I was pretty proud of the macaroni brick in particular. Sadly I've packed all my bricks for the big move, but I definitely want to brick this bad boy up when I'm all settled in.

Gorgeous!

Great colors, great way to bulk out from the Travis brick, and great engines-to-hull size ratio. It looks like it is about as fast as a compatibly sized capital ship, but can kick end over end and bear on a new target faster than a frigate.
