Grand Dustashim's Orbital Fleet (GDOF)

Postby Artasid » Sun Apr 08, 2018 10:05 pm

Sorry for the long delay, I've been in the hospital for the past 3 weeks for medical stuff. but I'm back for the time being. Hope you enjoy this newest edition

FLUFF

Orbiting the solidary planet of D'Rav, the desert planet ruled by the man-god The Grand Dustashim, a single fleet of vessels patrol like sentries, willing to confront any that approach, or to defend any ship that leaves planetside. It has be christened: The Grand Dustashim's Orbital Fleet (GDOF)

Though there may be more far superior vessels known throughout the galaxies, Dustashim prides himself on this fleet and those who serve it will willfully give their lives in his service.

Special Thanks go to HyveMynd and Cake for the Nimbus MKV design which all of these are based off from.

Those are beautiful, Artasid, I hope you get well soon!

Just a minor detail, technically the original HyveMind build is called Nimbus MkII, the MkV was me failing at being clever with names! But I assume you can still call yours like that if you want to! :D

Mod Edit: Moved the spaceships to the Intercept Orbit forum.

Personal comment: Dude, take care of yourself. Your health is always the most important thing. We can wait for new creations as long as we know you're okay.

I haven't been very active here recently so I'm sorry this comment is late, but I hope you are feeling better. It is nice to see that your creative mind seems to be very healthy. These are really cool, and as always the backstory is great! :D

The Grand Dustashim looked over the numbers of his latest market trades and noticed that the profits from this recent quarter were only marginally higher than last quarter. Though he had not lost any of his currency, he had hoped he would have had better success.

"If I increase exporting productions, I'll be able to generate more revenue."

He pondered to himself. He began pacing back and forth in his chambers in thought as his servants waited anxiously for him to command them. They worshiped Dustashim as a God among them and would eagerly obey whatever he commanded of them. To receive a command was, in a sense, him acknowledging their existence, which would be held as an honor.
After a few rotations around the chamber with the datapad in his hand. He glossed over the details of his newest designs.

"Send for the Supervising Shipwright!"

He ordered. Instantly, his servants left the chambers in earnestness to obey. Once the room was cleared, The Grand Dustashim turned back to his designs.

"A new cargo carrier and a new escort should increase distribution routes."

He muttered under his breath. He smiled as plans began to take form in his mind.

A cargo transport HVA, loaded with Cargo Pods full of market products.

Blessed: d6Ra d6Ra Broadside Torpedoes, d6B Flak Turret, d6Y Targeting Array, d6G Frigate Engines
A new Frigate design for the GDOF

I hope you enjoyed and as always, I eagerly await any and all comments you wish to share.

The Supervising Shipwright, a man of tall stature, as well as bulky physic, entered The Grand Dustashims chambers and immediately prostrated himself before the Man-God of D'Rav.

"I eagerly accepted the summons of Your Grandness of Stars."

He spoke with his head against the golden tile floor

"Command me, He Who defines Our Pointless Exsistance. He Who is-"

"Cease your mutterings and listen."

The Grand Dustashim interrupted the mans praises. Grand Dustashim presented the datapad to the Shipwright with his recent ship designs.

"I want these under construction. I wish to increase my orbital trade routes and these two ships should suffice."

The Shipwrigth glanced over the design specs and was familiar with their build within moments. To serve the Grand Dustashim, the Shipwright would memorize millions if not billions of ship designs all to please their mortal God.

"At once, He Who-"

"He who has not finished giving his orders."

The man fell deadly silent. His eagerness to please has nearly annoyed the Grand Dustashim and the Shipwright feared what would become of him should he push that annoyance into anger.

"I also wish for your opinion on something."

"Anything, God Among Us."

"In addition to these two vessels, I want YOU to construct a third design. You are more familiar with ship building than I and I would like to get an experts opinion, I have a feeling just one escort vessel will not be enough."

The Shipwright began scribbling and doodling on the data pad until he was satisfied with his creation. If only the Grand Dustashim approved.

"Might I suggest this, Our Immortal Sun?"

Stance: d6Rd d6Rd d8Rd Dual Assault Torpedoes, d6B Defensive Flare Tubes, d6G Frigate Engines.

The Grand Dustashim smiled at the vessel and already his mind began to fine tune plans for the near future.

"I am impressed. Make them at once!"

The Shipwright eagerly dismissed himself now that he had been given a mission from the mouth of their God. Oh, what a Grand Day!

I hope you enjoyed and as always, I eagerly await any and all comments you wish to share.

That's a pretty neat design. The characters and story never get old, always love the continuation.

The Grand Dustashim felt melancholy. Though his markets were bristling with business, and the coffers overflowing with currency, he felt something lacking. He could walk out his room and instantly be adored by everyone who knew his name. Women, and even a few men, would throw themselves at him in loving adoration and pleas for nightly companionship.
But these did not interest Dustashim at his current state.
There were reports of unrest throughout the Union, and he has even heard that there were similar issues in the Free Colonist territories, in fact he even sent a letter of support to a fellow businessman and colleague that was being directly challenged (Though Dustashim himself insisted upon his neutrality in the conflict, if ever one occured). There have been no updates regarding the Ijadhi, though Dustashim suspected they were being cautious.
What to do about these troubling times? D'Rav was safe, and that's all that the planets mortal god wished.
But to keep it safe, he had endeavored to increase the productions of frames to safeguard his shipments and caravans, and even created the Grand Dustashim's Orbital Fleet to serve as protection outside the planets orbit. They were good, but suddenly, the Grand Dustashim wondered: Could they be better?

Stuck with sudden inspiration, Dustashim practically bounded from his private penthouse into his Audience Chambers, where everyone who was present instantly fell into euphoria upon his arrival.

"Summon the Shipwright before me at once!"

Dustashim commanded with his heel striking the golden tiles of the floor to produce a sound that roared through out the palace. Servants and handmaidens alike practically crashed into one another in eager acceptance of his command, but this was the norm.

"I wish for a new vessel design! One that will surpass my Pride! And I shall dub it: Dustashim's Inspiration!"

Inspiration: d6Rh d6Rh Point Defense Turrets, d6Ra d6Ra d8Ra Dual Long Range Torpedoe Tubes, d6Y Range Finder Antenna Array

No one within earshot of their might man-made god would dare refuse.
