TWANKS In SPAAAACE!

Probably the only property of Twanks LLC. that money can't buy, Twanks LLC. maintains a modest private fleet to secure its system and escort shipments.

Fleet:

Battle Frigate: Depicted with either a point defense or ship-to-ship deck gun, side armor, and a forward-mounted frame catapult.

Support Frigate: Depicted with a sensor suite, side armor, and a deck-mounted frame catapult.

Carrier: Depicted with a sensor suite, two side-mounted frame catapults, and a command deck.

Frame companies, down-scaling the Space Twank build, with the Ace using Eduty's GIT as the base model.

Super simple, but really striking visually. Nice work.

I had to laugh when I saw these! I like how you were able to evoke the Twank feel with the teeny-tiny Twankenoid frame squadron. I would consider the Battle Frigate to have a ship-to-ship deck gun due to it's size, but I suppose you could load it with the futuristic equivalent of grapeshot. I also think it needs a little AA gun on top of the bridge as a nod to the the seconday Twank gun the ship cannon evokes. Fun stuff, you have a great sense of humor that really comes through well in some of your work.

Am I correctly seeing that those ships are built out of RA-sized Twank bodies?

These are cool! I really have become a fan of the Twank designs, the simplicity is so cool but the fact that you can make an entire force on a limited brick inventory is the most appealing for me, since I am somewhat brick deficient at the moment.

You are correct! I thought about just yanking the legs off of a mk. 1 Twank and messing with the rear to make the thrusters, but I felt it wouldn't really add much value. Squinting at a Twank and sticking your thumb over the legs is just as good.

There we go. I should just just design the fleet to use Twanks embedded in the hull as turrets.

So the real question is, "Is the IO-sized Obliterator Cannon Assault or Support range?"

Sincerely, it's the small things that I like about these. The color blocking and the simplicity/consistency of the catapult systems, largely. The fore greebly bits are a nice mix, too.

Thanks! I think the obliterator would be support, but there is something nice about the visual of it belching out a cloud of burning debris that consumes a frame squadron... Anyway, I think color blocking has always been a strength of the Twanks LLC line. The fat chassis just has room for big lines of color that would get broken up by compromises with articulation piece colors in more traditional frames.

Those ships are awesome, but to me the micro-twanks completely steal the show!
