Tethys Purification Fleet

Postby Zerovirus » Wed Feb 17, 2016 10:25 pm

So, remember this old thingy I made a while back?

Spurred by this newfangled 'Ships and Glory' thing, I came up with this series of designs over the course of the last four or so hours. You guys have NO idea how long it took to get those butt thruster thingies mounted in the right way and right place to avoid illegal connections and collisions between pieces.

Note: I still do not know much about Intercept Orbit rules.

As a complete sidenote, it's amusing how far the Ships and Glory group has already diverged in terms of ship size. The entire spectrum of ship size has pretty much been encompassed by literally the first two complete fleets posted after the designer's own. We've got tiny ships with diameters barely bigger than the 4x4 platforms they're mounted on, and then on the other side of things we've got... me.

(More pics in spoilers.)

Having worked a similar piece into a frame before, I do think I have a pretty good idea. And it makes me appreciate what you've done here all the more. Really nice work.

I cant figure out the core of these? Do you think you could post a picture without the white pieces, Iont have a lot or experience with the shoulder pieces and I can quite see what is going on. (or ldd file)

These are SICK! I cant even handle how cool these are.

Awesome job!

Sure, here's a breakdown of the cruiser, plus the fighter for good measure. The cruiser is pretty complicated on the inside, it's got technic and system all mixed up with each other.

Madness!

This is beautiful. The angles you worked out are amazing. I can't decide if you're inspiring me to try greater things or just give it up, but for now I'm just going to drool over this as I try to comprehend your diagrams.
