Finger Lakes Region, NY

Postby Hackjob » Sun Feb 09, 2014 9:42 am

Hey all,

Hackjob here, I live in the Ithaca Ny area and plan on demoing some MF0 in a shop called the Enchanted Badger. If anyone nearby or visiting the area wants a game lemme know and we can try and set something up. :)

Not from the area any more but went to MS/HS in the area (Ithaca for MS, Trumansburg for HS). Glad to hear they have a Game Shop again. Last time I was there I stopped by Comics for Collectors and was disappointed by how little gaming stuff they carried any more.

Don't worry, I won't tell anyone where I found you! Unless, of course, if they play MFZ!

Hey, I live near Ithaca (sort of, 1.5 hours West) and love The Enchanted Badger. I'd be super interested in playing mf0 there if you're still up for it. I could probably convince my partner to come too. I have a demo kit (sans stations at the moment) of my own, so if you need extra frames or anything, let me know.

Oh, heck yeah! I have lotsa frames and stations if your partner wants to play (although they aren't the most cohesive group). I have recently been going kinda bonkers for MF0:IO and have enough ships and HVAs to play a 3 person game if you are interested in that. Feel free to PM me for contact info.

Looks like I'm going to be making a quick run through the area around Xmas time. Would you kids be interested in trying to do a round or two on the 26th?

I would be totally up for it, it looks like The Enchanted Badger is even open then! Let me know if you would prefer to play somewhere else, so I can start looking (no room at my place). I can probably convince another player or two to come as well. Hope we can make this work!

I've got no preference for location at all. Enchanted Badger is good by me. (Last time I was in town I tried looking for a game book at Comics for Collectors, that was a hilarious fail. I remember sinking all my money into stuff there in HS for D&D2e.)

As I get a little closer to by trip time (and try to get a bit more work out the door) I'll poke back to figure out what all to bring with me.

Anyone heard from Emma lately? Looks like she hasn't logged in for a while.

Hey I swung by The Enchanted Badger the other day to give 'em the heads up about us playing there on the 26th. I have adequate terrain (not as nice as yours, but enough to play) rulers and lotsa dice. You probably only need to bring whatever frames and stations (or ships and HVAs, or both!) you would like to use. If, for whatever reason you end up limited on space, I have plenty of extra frames. But I'm sure you would like to bring some of your sweet designs to show off in the brick! :)

Is that afny? Last I heard of her was when we tried to plan a game at the Badger in early June, it didn't work out, the posts above are the last communication I had.

Feel free to pm me if ya want my digits.

Coolies, I think I can sneak my dice and maybe a little extra terrain into my stuff. Was planning on bringing some of the Talon (unfortunately I'm still pretty out of the loop for :IO stuff).

I you feel like leaving the dice and terrain at home to have room for more frames (so we could play a battle if we have time), I have plenty of both. What time do you want to meet up? I was thinking of getting to the Badger late-morning-ish to maximiser play time. I'm prteey sure I have a third player lined up and a couple more maybees.

Seeing what all I can get into the box I was going to stick in my luggage now. Late morning-ish sounds decent to me. I don't think I know anyone else around there to be trying to draft, but I may poke about.

Was able to fit 5 TofA frames (3 behemoths, 1 squidbilly, 1 scrambler) + objectives and a couple wall sections. AND the Peach Pickers' Co-op defense force with two objectives and a couple colored wall sections. (And a little stash of Yates-y Dr. Seuss-colored trees.)

Sweet! I'll be bringing pretty much my whole collection. Are the loadouts you've shown how you intend to run the companies in the game? If so, in the intrest of full diclosure here are the stats for:

the Disciples of Veresh
Spoiler: show
Ijad Overseer
d6W, d6W, d6Rd d6Rd, d6Ra d6Ra, d6G, d6B

Kriitaliid Hunter
d6W, d6W, d6Rh d6Rh, d6Rd d6Rd, d6B

Kriitaliid Forager
d6W, d6W, d6Rh / d6Rd , d6Rh / d6Rd , d6G

Earth Tortise
d6W , d6W , d6Rd d6Rd , d6Ra d6Ra , d6B , d6B

Wind Tortise
d6W , d6W , d6Rh d6Rh , d6Y , d6G , d8G

Water Tortise
d6W , d6W , d6Y , d6Y , d6B , d8G

For a 5 frame max limit I would drop the Wind Tortise

and Potsquali's Rangers
Spoiler: show
Gunsen
d6W , d6W , d6Rd / d6Ra , d6Y , d6Y , d6G

Cascade Daimyo
d6W , d6W , d6Rh d6Rh , d8Rh , d6B , d6B , d8G

Cascade Daimyo 2
d6W , d6W , d6Rh d6Rh , d8Rh , d6B , d6B , d8G

Ronin 1
d6W , d6W , d6Rd d6Rd , d6Y , d6G , d6B

Ronin 2
d6W , d6W , d6Rd d6Rd , d6Y , d6G , d6B

Ronin Daikyu
d6W , d6W , d6Ra d6Ra , d6Y , d6Y , d6B

Yeah, short of dropping frames/gear I won't be in a spot to be doing major revisions. So that's what stuff will be.

Cool, I have plenty of extra frames, and Potsquali's Rangers are all humanoid with clip hands so if your bro wants to make his own company, their loadouts are easy to adjust with the extra weapons I have made. I'm still pretty sure I have another player, but the two maybes are unavailable.
