Templar620 reporting in

Postby Templar620 » Fri Jul 12, 2019 7:58 am

Hello everybody,

I am new in the forum, although I joined the Facebook group a few years ago. I just started playing recently with my friend, so I thought it is time to be a little more active in the community.

So, I was born in 1992, live in Hungary, and I am building with LEGO more than 20 years. A few years ago I made a strike team in AMCP (Apocalyptic Mecha City Project), consisting various companies* (infantry, 3 large humanoid mecha, 1 large artillery/anti-armor mecha, 3 smaller mecha, an MBT, two aerial support unit - one VTOL, one fighter-bomber -, one military support vehicle and one mobile command center), but as years went, the strike force retired, and the city became a custom Cyberpunk city, on which I am working nowadays. **

I used to bring it to exhibitions in Hungary, but currently I am on hiatus from exhibiting, altough I want to make my return :D

Maybe I will make a topic here in OFF-section, just to put pictures of my strike force.

In the meantime I am working as a software developer, and currently in the last year of college. I have no idea what else should I write here, so feel free to ask if anyone is curious :D

* Also, for the sake of a dynamic exhibit, I made enemies - large space-bugs :D The Invaders had one Queen bug (based on the 70708 - Galaxy Squad Hive Crawler, and one scorpio-like titan/mecha/nightmare, about 30 yellow one-eyed alien from Space Police 3 and a handful of mini Visorak from Bionicle playsets.

EDIT: I found an album in my Flickr-account :D Not the last exhibition, but I think this was the most complete battle I ever built. You can see the pictures here.

**Also, my strike force's name was/is 620th Technical and Logistical Battalion, and I intend to keep the name and the badge in the MFZ universe :) The badge was made by my dear friend, LordShadeck

My name is Balázs Molnár, from Budapest in the middle of the hungarian reality.

Well, what can I say about myself? I like to try new things, and some things are catching me. When my friends invited me at the Hammertime Cafe (Budapest), I met wargames. About one year ago I was the one who invited my friend Templar620, who is a LEGO exhibitor. Peti (Templar620) said: good stuffs, but I know a lego wargame.
Thats how it starts.
First i designed and built my frames at LDD, then I redsigned them a few times. After few weeks I realized, I can't build what I want, so redesigned them again, and again, and again, till somehow I could buy the parts (mosty lego shops, pick-a-brick wall), and my 3rd. company was born.
Huge thanks to Peti, for the hints, the patience, and the few but very important parts! I played LEGO when I was shorter than our table (at home), but that was at the last century (literally), so I'm not that unfamiliar.

I just love the battlefield tactics (all hail Grand Admiral Thrawn!), the sci-fi, the fantasy, the roleplay games (mostly tabletop) of these worlds.

And now I'm here. The MFZ is the first wargame what I play.
I hope we can spread this game between the fellow wargamers who play mosty WH40k and Sygmar, but all the time they watch our games marvelous sights.

Thank you for the opportunity to beeing here!
