Hey Everybody!

Postby Dwellington » Wed May 02, 2012 10:59 pm

You can call me Dwellington. Pleased to meet you all!

I didn't find out about this project until after the Kickstarter finished, but WHOA MAN it looks amazing. I've been getting back into Lego recently anyways, and while I'm not familiar with tabletop gaming as a whole, I'm really psyched.

Almost all of my Lego is castle sets, though, which makes building robots...interesting...

Anyway, cheers!

Yeah, the Imperator is a titan so huge, that fielding it in an actual game of Warhammer 40K takes up almost the entire table.

We're talking THIS huge:

It's pretty much only used in the smaller-scale version of 40K, and any models made for the full scale game have to be custom made. GW doesn't make models for that. xD

Could be some nifty inspiration for your Frames, though. With lots of castle pieces, you could probably make some nifty looking 'gothic fantasy' style Frames.

Although I'm a 40K fan and player, I've always found their designs hilarious. But yes, you should totally build castle-type robots! It would be awesome! Big, four-legged walking castles. Flying castles! Tread-mounted castles! Also, check out the C6 System by Micah Bauer. I'm not 100%, but I think the castle sets have a lot of good stuff for that?

The C6's are very handy, and yeah, they're all in castle sets. What I'm really concerned with is color options. Most castle sets are, like, grey. And more grey. And--wait, is, is that BROWN? OH MAN NOW WE'RE TALKING.

I'm scoping out some Friends sets. I don't know if I'm gonna have any prevailing theme to my mechs in terms of design, but I want them to be the purplest robots on the battlefield.

Hey there, it's good to see how fast people are joining up now that we're a bit more established. :)

MUDDY-ROCK-CAMOUFLAGE.
You need some blue elements, and then, you call them "267th Highland Brigade". It will be glorious. Also, if you can mimic a Scottish accent, that'd be great, too.
