Audio File: Commercial

A silly little thing I did; a commercial for the Nought Corporation, who make industrial frames and other vehicles for the same market.

That was awesome! I love the idea of branding Frames like trucks. Of course Nought did leave out the combat applications, a military add would be quite interesting.

This is **** brilliant. Totally **** brilliant. The slide guitar puts it between a real world truck commercial and Firefly, which is pretty much where MFØ lives.

Gonna go tweet this now.

Or an ad implying that they can be modified for "crisis" purposes in any garage.

Actual MIC ads are really weird. It's like they're translated from another language. You see them in DC all the time on the metro for McDonnell Douglas and their like.

Big old red neck thumbs up from me! I live in a place where the TPC (truck per capita) is through the roof, this is spot on.

I think the option for a gun rack is highly implied.

Ha ha! I'm glad this has tickled people. And Mr. Newman, I will take your praise as the high compliment it is.

I'll see if I can't work up a military commercial, commercials for military systems are lamepants, so be warned.

Trilly, what this needs is more bass on the voice, more volume on the voice, turning down the background, and, most importantly, a gap and a claim.

[bla bla bla bla get the job done bla bla bla frame you can rely on bla bla Resistance ...] [ENTER GAP HERE] [... is for Nought.] ;)

What software did you use for it?

Ced23ric: You is absolutely right. This was thrown together quick after I thought of it in the shower (let's not visualize, just move on) and I agree absolutely. If I has me some time this weekend I'll set to work on just that.

Schoon: I use Audacity, which is an open-source program so simple even I can understand it. Picked it up for my very modest gaming podcast, and been diggin' it for about a year now. I recommend!

A friend of mine, the very talented Sean Blaney*, who also happens to be an avid Lego builder, is a freelance-on-the-side voice-over guy. I learned a lot from him. :D

Well, that brings up an interesting thought: is there interest in a Mobile Frame Podcast?

It seems like something that would be tough to do in an audio format, but not impossible.

Well, let's get together on Porcelain Llama Theater and see what we come up with! Drop me a note and we'll get it all set up.

I'd be interested in listening to one, and making one.

Voting for a bi-weekly podcast about the rules previews, with changing participants, to get a diverse field of opinions. Maybe some builder's stuff aswell, inspiration for part usage, etc. This could sprawl into a YT channel, with crossplugs to the game, the forum, the people involved, and gain further attention.
