Stratos Avionics Corporation

Decided to write some fluff for my "main" frames, thanks zeekhotep for creating the company name!

Lockon

Initially conceived by Stratos Avionics Corporation as a limited run dedicated Armored Long-range Sniper Frame (A.L.S. class frame), it surprised it's creators as their most successful frame in decades. The high demand for replacement parts and reports of modified units being used for other fighting roles and labor quickly pushed the core frame into mass production.

S.A.C. keeps releasing new versions of the core, keeping backwards compatibility with most armor pieces and systems, also developed by the company. The fact that it's not compatible with most ST series frame parts and systems was a problem upfront that eventually became an asset, as it assured S.A.C. a near monopoly on replacement parts for several years.

Code convention: LM-XX

Boxy Boy

Planed as a cheaper, easier to mass produce, version of the earlier Lockon frame, it ended up becoming almost as expensive, but in turn almost as effective.

Boxy Boy units can use outsourced arms of the earlier multi-corporation R.A.Z.R standard. While this drastically lowers Stratos Avionics replacement parts market share, it raises core frame sales with the promise of ease of maintenance and abundance of parts.

S.A.C. profits selling great numbers of standard soldier units for many military contractors across the galaxy. Still, the use of individual customized units is not unheard of.

Rahonavis

The first successful multi-purpose frame developed by Stratos Avionics, after the diversification of business beyond aerospace development.

It displays impressive control system response and balance for a frame of its era, to the point of rumors of a certain military contractor using modified Rahonavis with sharp blades attached to their feet as a weapon spreading across the galaxy, despite of the obvious setbacks of such configuration.

Code convention: RM-XX

Reclusive Spider

After successful negotiations with most SU regulatory bodies, Stratos Avionics gained permission to develop with reverse engineered Ijad technology.

The main draw of the Reclusive Spider is its advanced control system perfectly calibrated for unassisted human use. Despite the fragile simplified legs, this frame found its niche on long range artillery units, responsible for over 90% of sales.

Code convention: SM-XX
