A frame build challenge ala Mantiking's Single Set Challenge using only the current PaM parts (Q4 2016) that you can buy in any quantity in PaB cups. PaM topic here.

This frame is 51pcs as pictured and include armor and jumppack for blue and green systems.

very nice bipedal frame.
i tried to come up with some weapon systems with your LLD. I was hoping to create somekind of rocketpods over the shoulder, but i had no luck/inspiration.
you could use the orange teeth to create some armspikes, but that is rather uninspired.

also this could be a nice budget version of the chub. especially if some of the travis bricks are replaced with normal headlight bricks.

I spent some more time with the 16 bricks in the current PaM.

The main pod houses the cockpit and main power source, and allows for one of three conveyance/manipulator configurations: humanoid, chicken walker, or quad. The arms on the humanoid can be fitted to the chicken walker or quad, but I'm not sure how useful they'd be. I'm still striking out on coming up with weapons systems, but these cores should be easy and cheap enough that if you wanted a company of them you could pull parts from elsewhere for systems. Also, these three frames only use 12 unique parts.

I updated the LDD file with these frames too.

Those are all fantastic!

I see that the core is hollow underneath, right? Could use that for sure.

Yes. There's a 2x2, 2-plate recess under the center of the pod. As I didn't want to take too many breakdown pics, and photo'ing black sucks anyway, I created the LDD file. It's the best way to get a good look at these.

It made me chuckle. Then a tear came to my eye because it's true...

This is the kind of build that convinced me to try MFZ.

I really like the quad and the chicken walker
and with them i finally got some kind of weapon to work: simple d6Ra rocket launchers
i also tried to create some kind of d6Rd gauss turret but i am not happy with the result. it makes a simple IO ship though.

EDIT: white bricks on white background was a bad idea

You might have something there with the tooth plates around a Travis brick. I'll play around with that. I too made a 2x2 missile box, but it's a little different. It's on a new frame I built a yesterday. I'll try to post it later today.

PaM-77 "Crazy Cougar/Forest Dog"

An attempt at some weapon systems lead me to this design. It ended up a better Mad Cat/Timber Wolf clone than it really has any right to considering the parts limitation. The gun arms are a bit parts intense for what they are, but it's the best I've been able to manage.

Added to the LDD file too.

C&C solicited as always!

WOW
that thing is amazing!
and i think by cheating a little and swapping the round plates on the guns for something more colorfull this thing will look pretty awesome.

i just realized how many travis bricks this thing uses

Stop that, err no, Please continue.
My only sadness is that I went to the LEGO Store and filled a small cup, mostly of Travis, not knowing the Frames hidden in that inventory!

Now I don't have enough pieces.

What would be needed is a piece inventory (I'll try to extract that from the LDDs) of each of them to know in which proportion the pieces of the PaM need to be captured.

Then, some idea to customise some of those (Weapons/System) or to make them part of another company (maybe just changing some colour). Actually, for picture purpose changing some colour for some pieces could help.

Many thanks to all contributor.

As pictured it uses 12, but only 1 uses all sides (the one in the pelvis). All others can be replaced with old/new headlight bricks or 1x1's w/ studs on 2 sides. I only used travis's as that's what's in the PaM partslist.

To make sure next time I go to the store I know exactly how much pieces I needed...

I extracted one by one those Frames to individual lxf files.
Then I exported the Bill of Material into individual xlsx files.
To finally merge those into a single document: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7EyzS7dBjXqcUFVQlVZS0V0M3M/view?usp=sharing
I hope it help.

PS: All error are mines.

Hey, darksyntax, I'm curious where you found an invisible double-sided stud on the PaB wall. I'd like to get some but they weren't on the wall at my Lego store. :)

In the latest LDD file, the top half of that last frame is magically hovering over the legs, with the bottoms of bricks facing each other. I assume the center Travis is just turned the wrong way, as it works fine with that flipped over.

But seriously, that's a fantastic build for the parts. I'm recruiting a pair of them now.

That's pretty cool. You might need to update it with the error that stillettoblade pointed out.

Haha. Nice catch. But it's actually another L bracket that I omitted; I fixed the file.

That "Angry Feline" design is wicked cool, and especially amazing for how much detail you fit in despite the scale and the parts limitations!

I revisited the PaM-10/29q "Panda-Q" to make some missile pods and it got out of hand. It's a totally different frame now including the core of the legs which is much more stable. I give you the PaM-83 "Assault Beetle" (83pcs in the core, 173 pcs as shown).
Image
A long range frame (large fuel and life support capacity, plus sloped/angled heavy armor) with a highly stable quad-leg base, maximized with 4 oversized missile pods (each cylinder holds a 7 missile hex array, yielding 168 missiles) makes for an ideal prolonged siege frame.

Being as it's November, I whipped up a Vic Viper too.

I feel like I've pretty much played out this PaM parts list, but we'll see.
