Single Set Challenge: 40109 (mini MINI Cooper)

Postby darksyntax » Wed Dec 17, 2014 8:45 pm

Those of you that follow me on Flickr know that I've been playing around with set 40109 for a while. While I've milked quite a few alt models from the set, I hadn't managed a frame. I thought I was done with the set, but someone asked on Flickr if I was going to try a frame so I went back and gave it a go. There's really not much in this set for MFZ-parts. With the limit I drew upon my "fender feet" and an "axleplate gun" and tried for a Mad Dog / Vulture look with the canopy I'd used on a couple of the other alts.

C&C solicited as always.

The other 14 alts I've been busy with...

As a follower of yours on Flickr I can confirm you milked this set!

But holy hutch surfers! This makes fifteen... FIFTEEN! Take a good look folks, this is how the King of SSC adds jewels to the crown :) Great frame, beauty cockpit and it deflects the blocky legs. The black helps with that as well. Would look fine on any table next to any others.

The frame is awesome. But my favorite is the ground control tower and a little plane. Awesome job on all of these.

Damn, dude. I'm happy when I get six builds out of polybag. Fifteen? That's awesome.
