Sprite Power Armor: Variations from the Field

Postby ParadoxBoy » Fri Mar 30, 2012 11:36 am

Below are three examples of the Sprite powered armor in use by different infantry units.

The left-most example is a trooper from the 4th Arctic Infantry stationed in Gamma Leonis, the "Avalanches," carrying a recoilless rifle (Direct Fire) with an attached wirehead scope networked to the rest of the team's HUD (Spot).

The center suit is a reserve heavy weapons frame attached to the stealth recon arm of Paradigm Industries' in-house testing brigade. The angled extra armor plating serves to keep the wearer safe from retaliatory fire (Defense), as well as providing stability for the firer when the rocket launchers (Artillery) open up. Extra rockets are seen clamped to the shoulder plate.

The right-hand Sprite is a specimen of squad commander armor from the Sand Panthers mercenary company. The designatory backpack contains power cells for the mono-sword (Hand-to-Hand); a maser carbine (Direct Fire) serves as sidearm.

Derp, I just realized you used Clip Light plates instead of Horizontal Clips on the legs, and it certainly adds some bulky to the leg, on my titans there is a bit of awkward space, I'll have to upgrade my Titans.

Also you might want to check Brinklink for some of the colors you got there, I know there are a few that just don't exist.

That is the one problem with using LDD right now.

Over the last year I've just kinda learned some of the more finicky parts, and for about 90% of the parts I use, I can find them on Bricklink in like 10-15 seconds, so checking is easy, but it is something you gotta work at to get quick at and familiarize yourself with, which is more than worth it if you ask me.

I'm aware. Fortunately, virtual bricks can be any color I like.

Awesome! In the sincerest form of flattery, I intend to steal these. Yoink!
