My first stab at creating a unique Frame. I was actually trying to build a suit from the original Appleseed Graphic Novel (the suit with the rounded torso that features in the drug-fuelled raid on the super computer) but ended up with something that approximated a heavy diving suit so went with that. I think the manipulator claws probably help. I have an LDRAW file ready to upload one the Hanger is up!
Backstory: The Heavy Environment Frame is designed for use on colonies where high pressure environments are common. Be it deep in poisonous atmosphere of hothouse planets or under seas of cold methane the HEF frame protects the operator who lays prone in a spherical pressure vessel in the main body. Despite the fact the operator is essentially trapped inside a steel coffin, the naturally robust construction and heavy lifting ability means the HEF finds favour with some of the Free Colonies as a combat frame.
