ST13 Castellan Yuan-Ti, Serpent Legion Orderly 'Frame

Image

Background & Systems:

The ST13 Castellan Yuan-Ti is a 'frame based on the ST09 Iguana, but serves a niche role. Where the Iguana is a frontline utility 'frame with multiple roles and variants, serving as a footsoldier, the Castellan Yuan-Ti is tailored towards a single use. Each ST13 is piloted by the bravest NCOs of a given Serpent Legion detachment, serving as a personal guard for that unit's commander. Equppied with a massive shield and covered in thick armor all around, the ST13 is slow, but can take a beating for two. The chest-mounted gatling gun and the shoulder-mounted rocket launcher are short-range defensive systems the Castellan Yuan-Ti uses to cover his approach. Up close, the coherent energy halberd makes short work of anything daring to come near. Deterrence and effective shielding make this 'frame a true tank - and a bodyguard to behold.

Credits:
Took Mittens Iguana and reworked the entire center torso, the cockpit and overhauled the arms to accomodate clippable items. Kept the legs to, designed a halberd and a tower shield for it, added the chest-mounted minigun I used on the Fiddler and gave it the proven launcher design, too.

Nicely done sir. I really like what you've done with the Iguana.

So tanky, I love it. That shield and halberd are awesome too.

Dat Halberd. (And dat shield and dat launcher.)

I kinda wish both halves of the shield were the same aesthetic, though, either the sand green tiles or the grille-work.

I'm digging the SRM. Harkens back to many a BattleMech design.

That movie is ridiculous

And I really like how this frame has that serpentine look in the torso. Does make me think of a Yuan-Ti.
