Quad walkers aren't just for symbiotes

Postby skrob » Fri Sep 08, 2017 9:59 pm

Been forever since I posted a frame design. Was bored on my day off and came up with this little guy. Pretty stoked with how it turned out.

Got the standard soldier loadout: Direct / Defense / Comms / Move

Not sure what to call it. Figured I'd share :)

This is awesome. Love the pilots head sticking out of the hatch. Very WW2/Nam-esque.

Wow, that is one solid build, really awesome design it is very intricate, yet not overwhelming. I think a possible name to call it is Happiness Bunnies Revenge (props if you get the reference)

Again, very awesome build :)

This is rad. The hatch is super cool, the legs look great, and there's so much detail, from the front guard flaps to the antenna.
The shaping is also very well done.
I hope to see this built someday, even if it's in other colors, because this is awesome.

Very nice design, very well balanced, and very well themed. I like the military aesthetics better than the usual fantasy one. Nice job!

I love this build!!! My personal favorite is the quad with the dozer blade on front. It looks ready to take the knees off larger frames.

This thing looks at home in whatever loadout it can find, there's awesome adaptability in this build. As for names, how about Hermit Crab? It's a scuttling frame that suits to its environment quickly and effectively.

I hope Skrob does not mind, but I went ahead and bricked a few of them.

ImageSpodertonk Trio
RED: d6Rd d6Rd Cannon, d6B Rear Deflection Plate, d6Y Targeting Scope, d8Rr SSR
BLACK: d6Rd d6Rd Double Barrel Cannon, d6B Point Defense Machine Gun, d6Y Antenna, d6Y Searchligh
ORANGE: d6Rd d6Rd Tri-Barrel Cannon, d6Ra d6Ra Artillery Mortars, d6Y Targeting Scope, d6Y Antenna

Problem is, the Padlock piece is very hard to find in my area so I only had enough to make 1 with the original design. I had to substitute for the Black and Orange ones. They lost the wide legged appeal of the original, but they are serviceable for those, like me, who are lacking in certain parts.

Hope you enjoyed 8-)

So cool to see it actually built!

I also had the exact same idea with the targeting scope :D
